It’s sure to be “cool, crazy, and hot!” The Denver Office of Cultural Affairs presents its 5th annual 5 Points Jazz Saturday, May 17th. 5 Points Jazz celebrates the music, culture and history of Denver’s historic Five Points neighborhood, with performances highlighting many of Denver’s finest jazz musicians.
Performances and activities begin at 11 a.m. at venues along Welton Street in historic Five Points. Event headquarters for 5 Points Jazz is the Blair Caldwell African American Research Library, 2401 Welton. All performances and activities are free.
The 5 Points Jazz committee encourages use of public transportation to get to the event. 5 Points Jazz is accessible by RTD light rail, D-line, with a stop at 25th & Welton. Parking is also available in several lots along Welton.
For your convenience a free shuttle service is provided to all venues. Service begins at 12 p.m. and makes a loop between all performance venues.
